Support
We read every message.
Auroral has no account and no login, so there’s nothing to recover and nothing to unsubscribe from. Most questions are about how the score works or why a notification did (or didn’t) fire — answers below. For anything else, email us.
Common questions
Why didn’t I get a notification?
Auroral stays silent on purpose when clouds would ruin the view, when the moon is too bright, or when the sky isn’t dark yet. It only alerts when aurora strength, cloud cover, moonlight and darkness all line up above your threshold. Check your threshold and that notifications and background refresh are enabled in your device settings.
What does the 0–100 score mean?
It blends live aurora activity with how clear and dark your sky is right now. A high score means the lights are likely and visible from your location — not just active somewhere over the pole.
Do I need an account or to pay?
No. Auroral is free, has no account system, no ads, and no tracking. Your location is used only to fetch your forecast. See our Privacy Policy.
Which languages are supported?
The entire app is available in 11 languages and follows your device language automatically.
